Youth at Risk of DCYF-Schools Involvement

Essential Question:
Which schools have high numbers of students at risk of involvement with the juvenile justice system, and how can data help these schools and others manage the risks?

A profile of at risk youth in schools can help us help them.

Concluding Remarks

With additional item-level data, the DataHUB can help agencies and programs target public resources more strategically and effectively.

They could, for example:

*Identify the schools with the most at-risk students to better target investments in social-service resources.

*Support agencies' own grant writers and advocates, as well as legislators, with clear and engaging evidence regarding their challenges and successes.

*Build internal capacity to evaluate on-going work in a timely manner.

*Increase transparency through the creation of an InformationWorks for Child Well-being to offer the public images of the landscape of DCYF-involved children.
