Short Definition: % students who had something stolen at school during the school year
Long Definition:
Percent of students who reported that during the school year something that costs more than a dollar was stolen from their desk or locker when they were not around. This indicator is discontinued for future comparisons because of lack of consistency between the questions in the SALT survey and the new SurveyWorks! questions.

Purpose:
This indicator allows for comparison of safety and learning environment between schools, and also allows for comparison with other education indicators.
Limitations:
The last SALT survey was administered in 2007-08. The new SurveyWorks! survey is replacing SALT.
