% Hassle Being Teased - SALT ONLY

Short Definition: % students who were teased or bothered during the past 30 days

Long Definition:

Percent of students who reported that during the past 30 days, being teased or bothered by other students was a moderate to big hassle. This indicator is discontinued for future comparisons because of lack of consistency between the questions in the SALT survey and the new SurveyWorks! questions.

Purpose:

This indicator allows for comparison of safety and learning environment between schools, and also allows for comparison with other education indicators.

Limitations:

The last SALT survey was administered in 2007-08. The new SurveyWorks! survey is replacing SALT.

This indicator is discontinued for future comparisons because of lack of consistency between the questions in the SALT survey and the new SurveyWorks! questions.

Universe: Rhode Island public elementary, middle, high school students in participating schools and grades
